Recipe Introduction
This sandwich gets extra flavor from marinated atrtichokes, capers adn dijon spiked bottled dressing.
List of Ingredients
1 loaf (1 1/2 lbs) crusty Italian bread
1 cup bottled Caesar style salad dressing
2 tbsp. dijon mustard
1 jar (12 oz) marinated artichoke hearts, drained, sliced
1/3 cup thinly sliced red onion
3/4 lb. assorted deli sliced meats and cheese
2 roasted red peppers from a jar
3 tbsp. drained capers
4 sliced hard cooked eggs
6 leaves romain lettuce, torn
Recipe
Cut off top 1/2 inch of bread. Pull soft read from bottom of loaf, leaving 1/2 inch thick shell. Combine dressing with mustard, drizzle 3 tbsp. over bread bottom.
Layer sandwich fillings, except lettuce, with 3 tbsp dressing mixture in middle and eggs on top. Spread remaining dressing mixture on cut side of bread top.
Cover with bread top, wrap with plastic wrap and refrigerate at least 3 hours, before serving, remove bread top, place lettuce on eggs and replace top.
