Alice's Chicken Nuggets and Sauces
3 boneless skinless chicken breasts, pre-cooked
Batter:
1 egg, slightly beaten
1/2 cup water
3/4 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoons sesame seed
1/2 cup flour
Mix together batter ingredients. Cut chicken into 1x1/2-inch pieces. Dip into batter, and let drain alittle.
Heat oil in deep-fryer to 375° F. Drop chicken pieces in fryer basket, a few at a time and fry until golden brown, 3 to 5 minutes. Drain and serve with sauce of your choice.
Barbecue Sauce:
1 cup ketchup
1/2 teaspoon dry mustard
1 tablespoon brown sugar
2 tablespoons vinegar
1/4 cup corn oil
Mix together and cook for 5 minutes. Makes 1 cup
Dill Sauce:
1/2 cup sour cream
1/2 cup mayonnaise
1 teaspoon dried dillweed
2 tablespoons chopped pickles
Mix together and chill. Makes about 1 cup
Pineapple Sauce:
2 tablespoons prepared mustard
2 tablespoons horseradish
1/2 cup pineapple preserves
Mix together and cook for about 5 minutes. Makes about 1/2 cup
