    FIVE STAR CHEESE CAKE

    Recipe Introduction

    This is the recipe that I always use. Sometimes I make a chocolate cookie crust and I drizzled chocolate and caramel ice cream toppings on top. Boy was that good!

    List of Ingredients

    1 1/3 cups graham cracker crumbs
    ¼ cup sugar
    6 tsps. melted butter
    5 pkgs. (8 oz.) cream cheese, cubed
    1 cup sugar
    1 tsp. grated lemon rind
    3 eggs
    1 cup sour cream
    2 tbsps. sugar
    1 tsp. vanilla

    Recipe

    Combine crumbs, ¼ cup sugar and butter. Press onto bottom and half way up sides of a 9 inch spring form pan. In large mixing bowl, beat cream cheese until smooth; gradually add 1cup sugar, beating until fluffy. Add lemon rind. Add eggs, one at a time, beating until blended. Pour into pan.

    Bake in preheated 300 degree oven for 60 minutes. Turn off oven and leave door ajar 30 minutes. Combine sour cream, 2 tbsps. sugar and vanilla. Carefully spread over cheese cake, return to oven for 30 minutes with door ajar (do not reheat oven). Cool. Refrigerate at least 3 hours.
