    Recipe Introduction

    This recipe was published in the local newspaper with my Aunt's picture and she won a set of towels for the recipe. It's a very old recipe, but it is soooooo very good. You can use any type of fruit filling you like. I have used apple, cherry, blueberry, pear and peach.You can use the can fillings or make your own. I make my own filling with apple, peach and pear as I would for a pie.

    List of Ingredients

    1 cup butter
    1 ¾ cup sugar
    4 eggs
    1 tsp. vanilla
    3 cups flour
    1 ½ tsps. baking powder
    ½ tsp. salt
    1 can pie filling your choice

    Recipe

    Beat butter; add sugar, then eggs, one at a time. Add vanilla. Blend in dry ingredients. Reserve 1 ½ cups of dough. Pour rest of batter in large greased cake pan (9x13). Spread pie filling on top and then drop reserved dough by the tsp. full on top of filling to make a pretty design.

    Bake in a 350 oven for 35 – 40 minutes. Cool and sprinkle with powdered sugar.
