Rosettes can be dusted with powdered sugar or a mixture of cinnamon and sugar. We love it both ways! You can also drizzle melted chocolate over rosettes. These dont keep well for a long time. Eat within 2 days.
List of Ingredients
1 1/3 cups flour
1 cup milk
 tsp. salt
3 tsps. sugar
1 egg
1 tbsp. corn starch
oil for frying
Recipe
Beat all ingredients. If time permits, chill dough for 2 hours. (I never chill the dough.) Heat large pot of oil. Heat iron for a minute or 2 in the oil. Dip hot iron into batter (do not cover top of iron) and then in oil. Release dough from iron while in oil. Brown to desired doneness (1-2 minutes on each side is good). Drain on paper towels.
Sprinkle with powdered sugar or a combination of cinnamon and sugar.
