    FRIJOLES (REFRIED BEANS)

    1 cup Pinto Beans
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 piece of bacon
    garlic
    oil

    Recipe



    Boil with a cover on the pot beans, salt and bacon for 1 hour or until done. (Beans are done when you can squash one between your thumb and index finger. If they do not squash, continue to boil.) Drain beans and save 1/2 cup of the water. In a large bowl, smash beans with a potato masher.

    Put oil and a frying pan and heat, but not bubbling. Place smashed beans in oil and constantly mix until all are smashed and fried.

    Serve with a slice of Chijuajua Cheese.
