    1 cup dry navy beans
    10 cups water
    1 cup chopped carrots
    2 cups shredded cabbage
    1 – 8 ½ oz. can peas, drained
    1 – 8 oz. can cut green beans
    1 – 8 z. can tomatoes
    4 oz. fine noodles
    2 tsps. salt
    1 tsp. basil
    3 tbsps. salad oil
    1 clove garlic, minced
    3 tbsps. parmesan
    3 tbsps. parsley

    Recipe



    Rinse beans. Add beans and 10 cups water to a large pot. Bring to a boil. Simmer 2 minutes. Remove from heat. Cover and let stand for 1 hour.

    Add carrots. Simmer covered 2 ½ to 3 hours. Add cabbage, peas, beans, tomatoes, noodles, salt, basil. Saute garlic in salad oil and add to pot. Simmer for 20 – 25 minutes or until noodles are done. Toop with parmesan and parsley. Serves 10
