    Coney Island Chili

I don't remember where I got this recipe, but I give credit where credit is due. This is a very good but spicy chili. I usually make this in the winter time when it is cold outside & we need a quick warmer upper.

    List of Ingredients

    1 quart water
    2 lbs. lean ground beef
    1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
    5 teaspoons ground allspice
    1 teaspoon ground cumin
    2 bay leaves
    2 tablespoons vinegar
    2 medium onions, chopped
    1 teaspoon cinnamon
    1 1/2 teaspoon salt
    1/2 teaspoon ground red pepper
    2-3 tablespoons chili powder
    2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
2 (15 oz.) cans tomato sauce

    Recipe

Bring water to a boil. Put in ground beef. Boil for 30 minutes. Add all other ingredients. Simmer for 3 hours on low heat, uncovered. All liquid will cook down during this time. Remove bay leaves before serving. Serve with hot dogs or spaghetti & shredded cheddar cheese.
