    Empress Chili

    Source of Recipe

    Not Sure

    Recipe Introduction

I'm not sure who gave this to my mother-in-law but I give credit where credit is due. This recipe makes alot, it can be halved. This is a favorite of my hubby's. He can't get enough of this. Even my picky daughter loves this. I make this once a month & divide it up to use for chili spaghetti or chili dogs. For our family this will feed us for at least 4 more meals.

    List of Ingredients

    4 lbs. ground beef
    2 quarts water
    12 oz. can tomato paste
2 garlic cloves or 1/8 teaspoon garlic powder
    6 whole bay leaves
    1 teaspoon cumin
    1 teaspoon cinnamon
    1 teaspoon ground cayenne
    4 tablespoons chili powder
    2 tablespoons pepper
    2 tablespoons salt
    2 tablespoons allspice

    Recipe

Brown ground beef; drain. Add other ingredients in a big saucepan. Add ground beef; mix well. Simmer for 2 1/2 hours. Remove bay leaves before serving.

Serve this with grated colby/longhorn cheese, oyster crackers & onions on spaghetti or you can use this to make chili dogs using grated cheese & onions.

Tip: Since this recipe makes alot, you can either cut the recipe in half or you can make the large amount & freeze the other half for future use. Enjoy!!!
