SAUSAGE AND SHRIMP GUMBO
List of Ingredients
- 3 CUP ITALIAN SAUSAGE
- 1 LB OF FRESH OR FROZEN SHRIMP
- 1 DICED GREEN PEPPER
- 2 DICED STALK CELERY
- 1 DICED WHITE ONION
- 2 TBP FRESH GARLIC
- 1/2 CUP JALAPENOES
- 1 CUP RICE
- 6 DICED TOMATOES
- 1 1/2 GAL CHICKEN STOCK
- 1 TSP FRESH BASIL
- 1 TSP FRESH THYME
- 1 CUP OKRA
- DASH HOT SAUCE
- SALT
- PEPPER
Instructions
- SAUTE SAUSAGE,SHRIMP,ONION,PEPPER AND CELERY IN OIL FOR 3 MINUTES. ADD GARLIC AND JALAPENOES. SAUTE FOR 1 1/2 MINUTES
- ADD RICE AND STIR IN FOR 2 MINUTES UNTIL BROWNED.
- ADD REST OF INGEDIENTS. BRING TO A BOIL AND SIMMER UNTIL RICE IS TENDER. SEASON AND SERVE.
