    Simple (but Good) Meatballs

This is one of those meals that I put together when I don't feel like working too hard or too long, but want something warm and tasty. Comfort food!

    Makes about 12 small meatballs

    1/2 lb ground chuck
1/2 cup plain bread crumbs (prepared)
    1 egg
    1/4 t basil, dried
    dash garlic powder
    salt and pepper to taste
    red wine

Combine all ingredients except for wine in a medium-sized bowl and blend till well mixed.

Wet hands with wine and form meatballs about the size of a golf-ball. Keep wetting hands so the meat does not stick to them.

Pan fry over medium heat, covered, for about 10 minutes. Add to a pot of half spaghetti sauce / half crushed tomatos (canned). Simmer for about 25 minutes or until meat is cooked through.

Serve over pasta and garnish with a sprinkle of more basil.
