    Steak and Potato Soup

    A quick and hearty soup for those cold New York nights.

    1 lb sirloin steak, cubed
    4 med potatoes, cubed
    4 med carrots, sliced
    1 small onion
    celery
    parsely
    1 1/2 large cans beef broth
    1 1/2 cups crushed tomatoes (may subst 1 cup tomato sauce)
    salt and pepper to taste

    Brown steak and add onion, potato, carrots, celery and parsley. Cover with water and add beef broth and tomatoes. Simmer, covered, till tender.
