    Apple Twisp

    List of Ingredients

    • 1 1/2 C. Bisquick
    • 1/3 C. superfine sugar
    • 1 jumbo egg
    • 1/3 C. milk
    • 2 T. shortening
    • 1 tsp. pure vanilla
    • 1 C. chopped pared apples
    • 1/3 C. chopped pecans
    • 1/4 C. honey
    • 2 T. unsalted butter, softened
    • 1/2 tsp. pure vanilla


    1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

    2. Grease and flour square pan, 8x8x2 inches, or round pan, 9x1 1/2 inches.

    3. Beat Bisquick, sugar, egg, milk, shortening and 1 teaspoon vanilla in a small bowl on low speed, scraping bowl constantly for 30 seconds. Beat on medium speed scraping bowl occasionally for 4 minutes longer. Stir in apple and spread in pan. Bake until wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean, about 30 minutes.

    4. Mix remaining ingredients in small bowl. Prick deep holes in hot cake with fork. Spread honey mixture over top. Serve warm with Cool Whip.
