Baked Scallops Au Gratin

List of Ingredients
- 3 Tbsp. butter
- 6 scallions thinly sliced, including green portion
- 1/2 lb. mushrooms, thinly sliced
- 3 Tbsp. flour
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- garlic powder to taste
- 1/2 cup light cream
- 1/2 cup dry white wine
- 1 1/2 lbs. sea scallops
- 2 Tbsp. pimento strips
- 2 Tbsp. grated parmesan
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
- Heat butter in skillet. Saute scallions and mushrooms for 5 minutes. Blend in flour, salt, pepper and garlic powder.
- Add cream and wine; cook, stirring until thickened and smooth.
- Place scallops and pimento in an au gratin or shallow baking dish. Pour sauce over scallops.
- Sprinkle with parmesan and bake for 30 minutes. Place under broiler until lightly browned.
Final Comments
Great as an appetizer in the little shell ramikens!
