    Baked Scallops Au Gratin

    List of Ingredients


    • 3 Tbsp. butter
    • 6 scallions thinly sliced, including green portion
    • 1/2 lb. mushrooms, thinly sliced
    • 3 Tbsp. flour
    • 1/2 tsp. salt
    • 1/4 tsp. pepper
    • garlic powder to taste
    • 1/2 cup light cream
    • 1/2 cup dry white wine
    • 1 1/2 lbs. sea scallops
    • 2 Tbsp. pimento strips
    • 2 Tbsp. grated parmesan


    Instructions


    1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
    2. Heat butter in skillet. Saute scallions and mushrooms for 5 minutes. Blend in flour, salt, pepper and garlic powder.
    3. Add cream and wine; cook, stirring until thickened and smooth.
    4. Place scallops and pimento in an au gratin or shallow baking dish. Pour sauce over scallops.
    5. Sprinkle with parmesan and bake for 30 minutes. Place under broiler until lightly browned.


    Final Comments


    Great as an appetizer in the little shell ramikens!
