    Peanut Butter and Honey Dog Biscuits

    For Pet Appreciation Day (18th April 2000), Brandi and I made these doggie treats to give Shamone and Tequila at Easter. Both dogs seemed to enjoy them. Visit the doggie connection web site as it has alot of doggie treat recipes.

    Below I have doubled the recipe printed on the web site as the original recipe was not enough for our project.


    List of Ingredients


    • 1 & 1/2 cups flour
    • 2 eggs
    • 2 Tablespoon honey
    • 2 teaspoon peanut butter
    • 1/2 cup vegetable shortening
    • 2 teaspoon baking soda
    • 1/2 teaspoon salt
    • 1/2 cup rolled oats
    • 1 teaspoon vanilla


    Instructions


    1. Heat honey and peanut butter until runny (about 20 seconds in the microwave).
    2. Mix ingredients together and drop by teaspoonful onto cookie sheet (we shaped into easter cookie cutters) and bake at 350 degrees for 8-10 minutes.
