    Mam-ma's Old Faithful Lemon Sherbet

    List of Ingredients




    This is not a true sherbet, but it is wonderful on a hot Texas day with the family all around.

    2 quarts whole milk
    3 1/4 cup sugar
    3/4 cup lemon juice
    Rind grated from two lemons
    1 pint whipping cream

    Recipe



    Mix thoroughly the sugar, lemon juice and grated rind. Gradually stir in the chilled milk.
    Whip the cream and add to the mix.
    Freeze according to your machines directions, allow to ripen for several hours.
