    Recipe Introduction


    This is the TRUE, quintessential Minnesota HOT DISH from Ruby's in Springfield, MN (ner New Ulm). It can't be beat on a snowy winter day!


    List of Ingredients


    • 1 lb ground beef
    • 1/4 cup butter
    • 1 Tbsp Garlic Salt
    • 2 Tbsp flour
    • 1/2 tsp Accent
    • 1/4 tsp paprika
    • 1/2 cup onion (chopped)
    • 1 cup sour cream
    • 1 can cream of chicken soup
    • 1 large can of sliced mushrooms (with juice)
    • 1/4 tsp ground pepper
    • 1 (8oz) pkg of wide egg noodles uncooked


    Instructions


    1. Preheat oven to 350...when hot turn down to 325.
    2. Brown the onions in a frying pan with the butter, add the ground beef and brown. Drain when finished.
    3. Mix garlic salt, accent, paprika, and pepper to make a spice potion.
    4. Add to a greased casserole - the browned beef and onions, the spice mix and all the rest of the ingredients...stir together.
    5. Bake in a 325 degree oven for 45 minutes. The last 15 minutes turn the oven up to 350. Total cook time - 1 hour.
