    From a friend

    Recipe Introduction

This is a variation of the candy, my mama would make when I was a child. Throughout the years, the recipe has been forgotten. A friend gave me this recipe and its the closest to what I had as a child

    List of Ingredients

    • 1 1/2 cups sugar
    • 1/2 cup milk
    • 1/2 cup sugar
    • 1 1/2 tablespoons butter
    • Pecan halves

    Instructions

    1. Boil together the milk and 1 1/2 cups sugar.
    2. In the meantime, melt 1/2 cup sugar in an iron skillet. Stir constantly
    3. Add melted sugar to boiled ingredients.
    4. Let slowly boil to soft ball stage.
    5. Add pecan halves and beat well
    6. Drop by spoonfuls on greased surface. ( I use wax paper)
