Kifflies (Hungarian Cookie)

Recipe Introduction
This taught to the Hughes women that wanted to learn to cook these cookies has been passed down from my grandmother.
List of Ingredients
- 3 Eggs
- 1 small Cake Yeast
- 1 small (4 oz) Glass Milk
- 1 pint Sour Cream
- 1 lb. Lard (Crisco)
- 1/2 cup Sugar
- 5 cups Flour
- 2 bags Powder Sugar
- 3 bags ground Walnuts
Instructions
- Mix Lard, Eggs, Sugar together. Dissolve yeast in warm milk then add to mixture, add sour cream & flour mix with your hands. Add a little more flour till it doesn't stick to fingers.
- Cover and put in refrigerator over night.
- Take out dough a small amount at a time about the size of a tennis ball. Roll in powder sugar, Roll very thin, cut into 3x3 squares fill with walnuts and roll up corner to corner. Roll in powder sugar and place on greased baking sheet an cresant shape.
- Bake at 350 degree for 8-13 minutes.
