    This is the BEST carrot recipe I've ever found! Even people who say they don't like carrots like this one! I suppose you could use a bag of frozen carrots, if you don't have time to slice up your own, but not sure of the amounts you'd need.


    List of Ingredients


    • 2 onions, finely chopped
    • 2 tablespoons margarine
    • ¼ teaspoon dry mustard
    • 1/8 teaspoon pepper
    • ½ teaspoon celery salt
    • ¼ cup all-purpose flour
    • 2 cups milk
    • 12 carrots, peeled, sliced and cooked
    • 8 oz. pkg. shredded cheddar cheese
    • ¼ cup dry bread crumbs


    Instructions


    1. Saúte onions in margarine; stir in mustard, pepper and celery salt.
    2. Add flour and milk, stirring until combined.
    3. Cook over medium heat until thickened; set aside.
    4. Layer half the carrots in a greased 1½ qt. baking dish; top with half the cheese then half the white sauce; repeat layers.
    5. Top with bread crumbs and bake at 350° for 20 minutes or until golden and bubbly on top.
    6. Serves 6
