    Irish Cream

    Source of Recipe

My variation of recipe from www.dochara.com

    Recipe Introduction

I found this recipe on dochara.com and tried it out. The original recipe tastes very good but is too chocolatey and a little bit gooey. So this version (which also doubles the amounts of the original) replaces some of the condensed milk with additional cream and reduces the chocolate by half. I also found that replacing the Irish whiskey with scotch is just as good.

    List of Ingredients

1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
2 oz good unsweetened dark chocolate
3 cups whipping cream or heavy cream
    2 tsp vanilla extract
2 cups Scotch or Irish whiskey
1/2 cup good black coffee (how strong is up to you)

    Recipe

In a saucepan warm the condensed milk. Add the chocolate and stir until fully dissolved (do not boil). Allow this mixture to cool completely then put everything in a blender and zap it for about 15-20 seconds. Drink (this step optional).

This will keep for 4-6 weeks in a tightly sealed bottle in the fridge.
