Recipe Introduction
This is my first submission, although I have been a subscriber for
several years. My favorite one dish meal is one I have been making
for about 30 years. I got it originally from a friend. My name is
Rita, and I have lived in the Tampa Bay area of Florida now for four
years. A transplant from the Mid-Hudson area in New York, I like the
Winters much better down here! My two children are grown and on their
own. A special hi to Rosemary, Jacquie, and Phyl.
List of Ingredients
1 10 oz. package frozen chopped broccoli
3 Tbs. butter or margarine
1/2 cup flour
1/2 cup milk
2 Tbs your favorite cheese, grated (Parmesan, Swiss,
Cheddar, or Muenster all work well)
1 Tbs lemon juice
1 6-7 oz can tuna, drained
Pepper, onion powder, garlic powder to taste Recipe
Cook broccoli according to package directions. Drain. Set aside. In
saucepan, melt butter or margarine over low heat. Blend in flour and
spices. Add milk all at once. Cook and stir until thick and bubbly.
Add cheese and lemon juice. Stir in broccoli and tuna. Turn into
greased casserole. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes. Serves 2-3.
(Note: This recipe may easily be doubled or tripled if desired.)
