    Crock pot Corned Beef w/ beer

    Recipe Introduction

    I tried something different this St. Pat's Day and it was the best CB I have ever made. Easy & Tasty! Serve with my Colcannon Potatoes (see sides)!

    List of Ingredients

    1 pre-seasoned 3-4# Corned Beef Brisket, do not rinse
    2 bottles of beer
    1-2 bottles of water, opt> (enough to just cover and float CB)
    Nesco roaster: (more like braising); but I smoke briskets a fair amount. I think the 4 to 4.5 hour time in the recipe may be stretched with the amount of meat you're cooking. I would suggest you cook by internal temperature rather than time. Brisket for slicing needs to be 180F internally and 200 for falling apart.

    Recipe

    Cook according to crock pot recommendations based on the weight of the brisket.

    I started it on "high" and it was done in approx. 5 hours. If you have more time, cook on low setting.

    Do not open the lid while cooking to avoid heat loss.
