    Strawberry Champagne Punch

    Ladies love this punch! Great for Wedding & Baby showers or just about any gathering.
    !WARNING! Not responsible if you take up table dancing after consuming.

    List of Ingredients




    1 pint fresh strawberries
    2 C white zinfandel wine
    1/2 C sugar
    1 6oz. can frozen pineapple juice concentrate

    1 lemon
    1 chilled bottle champagne
    1 chilled liter lemon lime soda



    Recipe



    Wash and hull strawberries and chop coarsely.
    Combine with: wine, sugar, pineapple juice concentrate
    Grate all the lemon rind and squeeze out all the juice, save the shell.
    Add to wine mixture, stir, cover in airtight container and refrigerate overnight.
    Next day:
    Strain liquid and discard pulp and lemon shell.
    Pour into a large punch bowl, add champagne and soda.
    Serve in a champagne flute, over ice if desired.

    * I DO NOT strain the liquid but I do discard the lemon shell.
    Adding soda is optional and the original recipe does not call for it BUT it stretches the punch and people don't get hammered quite as quickly.
