    HONEY-ORANGE SYRUP

    SECRETS OF FAT-FREE COOKING - by Sandra Woodruff, RD

    Recipe Introduction

    No Carbohydrate levels available Yield: 1 1/2 cups

    1 tbsp. cornstarch
    1 cup orange juice
    1/2 cup honey

    Combine the cornstarch and orange juice in a 1-quart saucepan, and stir until the cornstarch is dissolved. Stir in the honey.

    Place the pan over medium heat, and cook and stir for about 3 minutes, or until the mixture is bubbly and slightly thickened.

    Serve warm over pancakes, French toast, or waffles. Store any leftovers in the refrigerator for up to a week.
