Sauerkraut for Sauerkraut Haters
List of Ingredients
1 15oz. can sauerkraut, washed and drained
2 medium onions, thinly sliced
1 12-oz can or bottle of beer
2/3 cup chili sauce
1/4 C firmly packed brown sugar
1 medium sized green apple, peeled, cored, and thinly sliced
Recipe
Combine sauerkraut, onion, beer and chili sauce in large skillet over medium-low heat and cook, stirring occasionally, 30 minutes. Stir in sugar and apple and continue cooking until most of liquid is absorbed 15-20 minutes. Serve hot
