    Hamburger Soup

    List of Ingredients

    1 1/2 pounds ground beef
    1 1/4 cup onion, diced
    1 can (28 ounce) diced tomatoes
    4 cans (14 1/2 ounce each) ready-to-use beef broth
    1 package (16 ounce) frozen peas and carrots
    1 teaspoon black pepper, freshly ground

    Recipe

    1. In a soup pot, break up ground beef into small pieces and brown the beef and onions over medium-high heat 5 to 8 minutes or until meat is no longer pink.
    2. Remove all grease and liquids from meat and onions by draining meat into a colander and wiping grease from pot with paper towel.
    (You may also rinse meat in the colandar with water)
    3. Add the remaining ingredients to the pot. Add drained meat and onions. Reduce heat to medium and cook 15 minutes or until vegetables are tender.

    Note:
    For Cheeseburger Soup, add a sprinkle of your favorite shredded cheese like Cheddar, Monterey Jack or Swiss on top.
    Serve with buttered Dinner Rolls and a Salad.
    Yield: about 8 servings.
