Biscuits: Orange Biscuits

3 cups self-rising flour
3 tablespoons sugar
1/4 cup shortening
1 cup milk
2 tablespoons butter or margarine, melted
Juice from 1 orange
Grated rind of 1 orange
Recipe
Preheat oven to 450°F. Spray a baking sheet with non-stick vegetable spray.
In a large mixing bowl, combine flour and 1 tablespoons sugar; cut in shortening until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Add milk, stirring until dough forms. On a lightly floured board, knead dough lightly. Roll into a 1/2-inch-thick rectangle. Spread with melted butter, sprinkle with remaining sugar and orange juice. Roll up, jelly-roll fashion. Cut into 1/2-inch-thick slices. Place on prepared baking sheet.
Bake for 15 minutes or until lightly browned.
