Greek: Lamb with Artichokes & Yogurt

3kg of lamb from the leg cut into serving portions
1kg full drained yogurt
4 eggs
2 cloves of garlic finely chopped
the juice from 3 lemons
1kg artichokes hearts, either frozen or canned
olive oil
salt

Wash the meat with cold water, drain it and put it in an oven pan. Pour the lemon juice, 130ml oil, the garlic, salt and pepper and bake in low temperature for 80-90min. turning it from time to time and adding some hot water if needed. Add the artichokes and continue the baking for 15-20min more. In a large bowl beat the eggs with salt and pepper and add the yogurt. Mix until well combined. Pour it over the lamb and continue the baking until the yogurt thickens. It is served hot
