    Cranberries: Cranberry Cake and Butter Rum Sauce #1

    List of Ingredients

    1 1/2 Tbsp butter
    1/2 cup sugar
    1/4 water
    1/4 cup evaporated milk
    1 cup flour
    1 tsp baking soda
    1 1/4 cup cranberries, sliced
    1/2 tsp salt
    1/2 cup walnuts, chopped


    Butter Rum Sauce:

    1/4 pound melted butter
    1 cup sugar
    1/2 cup evaporated milk
    1 tsp vanilla
    1/2 tsp (or more) rum flavoring

    Recipe

    Cream butter and sugar. Mix in the rest of the ingredients, adding
    cranberries and walnuts last. Bake at 350 for 25 minutes in a greased
    8x8-inch square pan. Serves 4-6. Can be doubled and baked in a 9x13-inch
    pan.


    Butter Rum Sauce:
    Mix butter, sugar, and milk and bring to a boil. Add vanilla and rum
    flavoring. Serve hot over cake.
