Recipe Introduction

James Eagan Mayor, City of Florissant, MO. The Irish Mayor of Florissant, MO. for over 30 years was Jim Eagan, he ran for office of this old town north of St. Louis in the early 60's and was undefeated in eight elections until his death in the 2000. The "official" color was of course green , and his tall stature, outfitted in an emerald green 3 piece suit was imposing. Although he ran the growing city with a firm and opinionated hand, . behind all the political astuteness was a deep love for his community. This was his backyard BBQ weekend specialty..

List of Ingredients

2 lbs ground chuck
1 tsp Italian seasoning
1/2 cup Italian flavored bread crumbs
1 egg
salt and pepper to taste
1/2 tsp garlic salt



Recipe

Mix all and form into 8 patties. On 4 patties stack, slice of onion, tomato ring slice of green pepper and slice of Cheddar cheese. Place other patties on top and crimp the edges well. Broil or grill. Feeds 4 hearty appetites. Serve on buns with your favorites side dishes..
