Baked Potato Soup

List of Ingredients
1/2 stick butter
1/2 cup flour
1 cup half and half
6 cups milk
4 large potatoes, scrubbed, buttered on outside and baked till crisp, cut in chunks, skins on
a bunch scallions sliced
1/2 package bacon, fried, broken up, reserved bacon drippings
1 cup cheddar cheese cubed
1 small container sour cream
1 teaspoon Lawry's
fresh pepper
Recipe
In a large saucepan, melt the butter and add the drippins from bacon. Put in that pan, Lawry's and pepper, several good grinds of pepper, then add flour; continue to combine and make your rue. while whisking, add the cream and milk, stirring constantly. Put in potatoes, onions and bacon and stir. When hot, add the sour cream and cheese, stir well to melt cheese, and serve.
