    Sift together:

    2 1/2 cups flour
    3/4 cup sugar
    3 teaspoon baking powder
    1/2 teaspoon baking soda
    1/2 teaspoon salt
    Set aside

    Beat well:

    2 large eggs,
    1/2 cup Salad oil
    1 cup buttermilk
    Stir into dry ingredients just until moistened

    1 1/2 cups dried apricots, snip up extremely fine
    1 cup chopped nuts
    Coat with some extra flour and then stir into batter.

    Grease a 9x5" loaf pan and bake at 350 degrees for one hour. Cool on rack. Freezes well.
