    Scalloped Potatoes and Ham

    Recipe Introduction


    Scalloped Potatoes with Ham


    6 tablespoons butter (divided)
    1/4 cup all-purpose flour
    1 teaspoon dried parsley
    1 teaspoon salt
    1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
    1/4 teaspoon pepper
    3 cups milk
    6 cups thinly sliced potatoes (peeled)
    1 1/2 cups chopped ham (cooked)
    1 small onion (grated)
    3/4 to 1 cup mozzarella




    Into 4 Tbsp. melted butter stir the flour, parsley, salt, thyme and pepper until smooth.

    Gradually add milk, bring to a boil, cook and stir for 2 minutes.

    Combine potatoes, ham and onion. Place half in a greased 2 1/2 qt. baking dish.

    Top with half of the sauce and repeat layers.

    Sprinkle with cheese.

    Cover and bake at 375 deg. for 65-75 min. or until potatoes are almost tender.

    Bake uncovered, 15-20 minutes longer or until potatoes are tender.
