Chocolate Peanut Butter Cookies

1/2 c shortening
1 1/4 c brown sugar
1 c peanut butter
3 tablespoons milk
1 egg
1 teaspoon vanilla
3 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
3 tablespoons hot water
1 3/4 c flour
3/4 teaspoon baking soda
3/4 teaspoon salt.
Recipe
Preheat oven to 375. Grease cookie sheets or line with parchment paper. In large bowl, cream together shortening, brown sugar, and peanut butter. Beat in milk, egg, and vanilla. In separate bowl, stir together cocoa powder and hot water until cocoa is dissolved. Stir into peanut butter mixture. Combine flour, baking soda, and salt. Stir into the batter until well blended. Drop dough by heaping teaspoons at least 2 inches apart on prepared cookie sheets. Bake fo 8-10 minutes. Allow cookies to cool on baking sheet for 2 minutes before removing to a wire rack to cool.
