    Carrot Cake

    List of Ingredients

    - Carrot Cake -

    Ready in 40 minutes (10 minutes prep time; 30 minutes cook time)

    Helpful Utensils: measuring cups, measuring spoons, grater

    You will need:

    DRY INGREDIENTS:
    ----------------
    1 C. Sugar
    1-1/3 C. Flour
    1/4 Tsp. salt
    1-1/3 Tsp. baking powder
    1-1/3 Tsp. baking soda
    1-1/3 Tsp. Cinnamon
    1/2 Tsp. Cloves
    1/2 Tsp. Allspice
    1/2 C. Chopped Walnuts (Optional)

    LIQUID INGREDIENTS:
    -------------------
    1 C. Gingerale
    3 Eggs
    2 C. Grated Carrots

    GET TURBO READY:
    ----------------
    Mix sugar, gingerale and eggs. Add the dry ingredients to the wet
    mixture and stir well. Fold in the two cups of grated carrots and
    the 1 C. chopped Walnuts. Pour mixture into spring-form pand and
    place the pan onto the steam rack. (remember to spray pan first.)

    LET'S START TURBO COOKING!
    --------------------------
    1: Add 1-1/2 C. water into the base and cook (valve open) on high
    heat for 10 minutes.
    2: Reduce heat to medium. Add 1-1/2 C. water to the base. Cook
    (valve closed) for another 10 minutes.
    3: Raise heat to maximim. Add 1-1/2 C. water into the base. Cook
    (valve open) for another 10 miutes.
    4: Insert toothpick into cake to check for doneness. Remove pan
    from Turbo Cooker and allow to cool. When cooled, turn onto plate
    to decorate.


    Notes: This cake is wonderful frosted or unfrosted. I like to
    simply decorate it with powdered sugar.
    Cream cheese frosting works best!
