    Easy Cheesy Sausage Skillet

    List of Ingredients


    3/4 lb. of Italin Sweet Sausage, sliced to coin size
    1 cup sliced mushrooms
    1 cup sliced green pepper
    1/2 cup sliced onion
    1 can cheddar cheese soup, lo-fat if available
    1 cup extra sharp lo-fat cheddar cheese, shredded

    DRY INGREDIENTS:
    1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
    1/2 teas. ground black pepper or to taste
    2 cups ziti

    LIQUID INGREDIENTS:
    3 cups and 2 Tbsp. water, divided
    1 Tbsp. butter
    1/2 cup milk

    LET'S START TURBO COOKING!
    Place sliced sausage in base with 2 Tbsp. of water. cook 4 minutes,
    high heat, valve closed, until brown. Remove sausage, set aside,
    drain off fat.....

    Melt butter in base and cook mushrooms, peppers, and onions for 3
    minutes, high heat, valve closed. Vegetables should be cooked until
    tender.

    Open lid, add the ziti and 3 cups of water, cook on high heat, 8
    minutes, valve open.
    Open lid, and place sausage back into base. Cook another 5 minutes,
    valve closed.

    While the ziti is cooking, mix together the soup and milk. When the
    ziti has finished cooking to desired doneness, open lid and
    add the soup mixture, cheddar cheese, parmesan cheese and black
    pepper to the ziti and stir well.

    Cook for 3 to 5 minutes more, medium heat, valve closed, just to heat
    up soup mixture and to melt the cheeses....stir again after 3 minutes.

    Serving suggestion: This can be served with a Caesar salad or a
    Spinach salad with a balsamic vinergarette dressing.
    Can also be served with buttered Italin bread sprinkled with garlic
    and Italin seasoning.
