    Recipe Introduction

    I used JD pellets and used quite a bit as I thought it would take smoke very well.

    List of Ingredients

    · ½ cup unsalted butter
    · 1 lge onion, chopped
    · 1 small cabbage 2lbs or 8 cups, thinly sliced
    · 2 med carrots, shredded
    · 1 tsp salt
    · 1 tbs fresh dill
    · ½ tsp caraway seeds
    · 1/8 tsp blk pepper (I used much more)
    · 4 ounces feta
    · ¾ cup plain bread crumbs
    · 6 phyllo sheets 17x12 (all I found here was much smaller)

    Recipe

    1- Cooking temp is 375.
    2- In large deep skillet, melt 2 tbs butter, add onion; sauté till soft , 5 min. Add cabbage, carrots, and salt; cook until soft, 10 min. Remove from heat; stir in dill, caraway seeds, pepper, feta and ½ cup bread brumbs.
    3- Melt remaining butter. Lay phyllo sheets flat on surface; cover with waxed paper and wet towel. Working quik, place 1 sheet separately on surface. Brush with some butter, top with 2 teaspoons crumbs. Repeat with remaining phyllo, butter, crumbs, stacking each on top.
    4- Spoon cabbage filling in a strip 2 in in from long side and 2 in from short sides. Fold both short sides over filling; roll up from long side.
    5- Bake 375, 35 min or till golden (with a touch of smoke looking color).
