Strawberry Apple Cake
List of Ingredients
4 cups sifted flour
4 eggs well beaten
2 tsp baking powder
3 large apples peeled sliced & coarsely chopped
2 tsp baking soda
1 cup strawberry preserves
1/4 tsp salt
2 tsp vanilla
1 cup shortening
2/3 cup to 1 cup sour milk
2 cups sugar
Recipe
Sift dry ingredients, cream shortening and sugar until light and
fluffy. Add beaten eggs and beat well. Add alternately dry
ingredients and liquid, mixing thoroughly after each addition.
Then add fruit and vanilla. Pour into 13x9"pan or 10" tube pan
which has been greased and lightly floured. Bake at 350 degrees
for about 1 hour. When done let mix cool on wire rack.
