Sausage, Cabbage and Potatoes

Polish Sausage, sliced
Potatoes, peeled and diced
Cabbage, coarsely chopped
S & P to tasteRecipe
In a big dutch oven, slice polish sausage into the bottom of the pan. Make a layer of it, as much as you like. Next add the potatoes. Again, use as much as you like. DO NOT MIX TOGETHER. Then add the cabbage on top of the potatoes. Pour some water into the pan, just enough to create a steamer effect (about ½ inch of water in the bottom of the pan). Add salt and pepper to taste. Cover and cook for about 30 minutes over a medium-low fire or until the potatoes and cabbage are well steamed. Mix together and enjoy.
Great with cornbread.
