Chocolate Dipped Oreo Lollipops

1 pkg. creme filled chocolate cookies (Cookies with extra creme filling work the very best)
1 lb chocolate candy coating
lollipop sticks seasonal candies, sprinkles, chopped nuts, coconut, ets.




Recipe



Melt chocolate candy coating over low heat in a double boiler. Carefully open cookies and cut a notch out of the creme filling for the stick to fit into. Dip end of lollipop stick into chocolate and insert stick into the notch. Put the cookie back together (a tiny bit of chocolate may be needed on the creme filling to help it stick back together well). Let set until chocolate is firm.
Holding onto the lollipop stick, gently dip cookie into the chocolate (it may be necessary to use a knife to help spread the chocolate to cover the cookie). Immediately dip partially in candy sprinkles, nuts or coconut. Seasonal candies also look cute on the center of each lolli (try frosted animals cookies or small molded colored chocolates). Lay onto waxed paper to set.

Place lolli's into small plastic lollipop bags or wrap with clear plastic wrap. Tie with ribbons, jute, or raffia. A great gift! Make for any holiday.
