You can use all tart apples OR use 4 sweet and 4 tart apples.


List of Ingredients




8 tart apples, peeled and sliced
1-1/2 t cinnamon
1/4 t allspice
1/4 t nutmeg
3/4 C milk
2 T softened butter
3/4 C sugar
2 eggs
1 t vanilla
1-1/2 C Bisquick, divided
1/3 C brown sugar
3 T cold butter


Recipe



Combine apples, cinnamon, allspice and nutmeg in crockpot that has been sprayed with vegetable spray. Toss thoroughly.
Combine milk, softened butter, sugar, eggs, vanilla and 1/2 C Bisquick. Spoon mixture over the apples. Combine the remaining 1 C Bisquick and brown sugar. Cut cold butter into the mixture until crumbly.
Sprinkle this mixture over the top of the apple mixture.
Cover and cook on LOW for 6-7 hours, or until apples are soft.
