    Caramel-Pineapple Dessert

    List of Ingredients




    1 Can Sweetened Condensed Milk (NOT Evaporated)or as many cans as you wish to make*
    1 Can Sliced Pineapple, drained
    Cool Whip or Sour Cream
    Optional Garnish: Pine Nuts or Sprig of Fresh Basil.

    Recipe



    Peel off labels from Milk cans. Place UNopened cans in a pot with enough water to cover cans.
    Slowly heat to simmering and allow to simmer 3 hours. Check water level periodically, adding more if necessary.
    Cool cans, then store in refrigerator until needed.
    To serve:
    Place a slice of Pineapple on each dessert plate.
    Open both ends of Canned Milk and slide pure Caramel out, slicing it the same thickness as Pineapple, with a wet knife.
    Top Pineapple slices with a slice of Caramel. Top with a dollop of Cool Whip or Sour Cream.
    Garnish, if desired with Pine Nuts or a sprig of Fresh Basil.
    *One can will produce up to 12 slices. Cans keep for months in refrigerator.
