    Recipe Introduction

This recipe originated during the 1930's, when chicken was expensive and hard to come by in the cities. These mock chicken legs became a favorite.

    List of Ingredients

2 # boneless Pork or Veal tenderloin cut into cubes 1/2 cup flour
    1/2 t Garlic Salt
    1/4 t Pepper
    1/4 C Butter or Margarine
    3 T Oil
    1 envelope Onion Soup Mix
1 can (14-1/2 oz) Chicken Broth
    1 C Water

    Recipe

Thread pork on wooden skewers*. Combine flour, garlic salt, pepper and dredge your meat in it. In a large skillet heat butter and oil. Brown the meat turning frequently. Drain. Sprinkle with soup mix. Add broth and water. Reduce heat and simmer for 1 hr.

    Serve with rice or potatoes.

*Soak wooden skewers in water for 1/2 hour to keep them from burning.
