    List of Ingredients




    1 # lean Ground Beef
    1 medium Onion, finely chopped
    1 C sliced Celery
    1 C thinly sliced Carrots
    1 C peeled, diced Potatoes
    1 Bay Leaf
    1/2 t Basil
    2 t Salt
    1 C shredded Cabbage
    1 16 oz can Tomatoes, undrained
    3 C hot Water
    1 C Tomato Juice

    Recipe



    Brown beef in soup kettle, rinse with hot water and drain in a colander. Stir in onion, celery, carrots, potatoes, bay leaf, basil, salt, cabbage, tomatoes, hot water and tomato juice and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer 40 to 45 minutes until vegetables are tender.
    Serves 8.
