    Sweeter Onions

    List of Ingredients

    When using fresh onions as a condiment or in a recipe that isn't cooked, always soak the chopped or sliced onion in ice water for about 15 or more minutes and then drain thoroughly. This takes the "yucky" out of the onion, giving it a clean, more sweet taste and crisper texture. Even the pickiest eater find they like raw onions when prepared this way.
    Also: Once an onion has been cut in half, rub the leftover side with butter and it will keep fresh longer.
