    Making Paper

    List of Ingredients

Wendy, to make paper just tear any paper you would like to use into small pieces (like napkins, wrapping paper, newspaper, etc). When you get enough torn put it in water and let it soak well. You can put it in a blender about a half cup at a time with lot's of water, then pour it into a container of some sort to keep adding the rest of the paper till all has been chopped. Paper doesn't have to be too small. Take a screen or even a spatter screen used for cooking and put it in the bottom of a pan or plastic tub big enough to get the screen in
and pour the paper and water into the tub. shake the screen back and forth a little as you lift it out of the water. The paper will bind together as you do this. Sit the screen on a folded up towel and put another towel over the new paper and squeeze out the excess water. You can use a sponge if you want. If you want you can let it air dry or iron the paper to dry it faster. You can use the paper for all kinds of things. I like to lay it over a tile with a design on it then squeeze it out more and let it dry. This will be a good project for your daughter. Have fun with it, it is very very easy to do. Hugs, Diana
