    Recipe Introduction

This quick and easy pizza recipe is a nice change from the english muffin pizza recipe. Using biscuits give students the chance to manipulate dough to make a crust. My students use cheese and pepperoni as a topping, however you may add any toppings you wish!

    List of Ingredients

1 package refridgerated biscuits (2 per person)
1/2 cup pizza sauce, spaghetti sauce OR tomato sauce
1 cup grated mozzarella (or Italian cheese blend) cheese
    2 tablespoons grated parmesan cheese
1 tablespoon oregano (omit if using pizza sauce)
optional toppings: pepperoni, mushrooms, peppers, olives, pineapple, ham, etc.

    Recipe

    1. Preheat oven to 450 degrees.

    2. Grease cookie sheet well with shortening.

    3. Flatten biscuits on cookie sheet into 5" circles. (You may stretch the biscuit out either in your hands or by using a measuring cup or something flat dipped in flour.)

    4. Spread each biscuit with sauce.

    5. Sprinkle on mozzarella cheese, parmesan cheese, oregano and any other toppings.

    6. Bake 12-15 minutes, or until cheese is bubbly and edges of dough is golden brown.
