    Monterey Fondue Casserole

    This is a recipe from one of those great Junior League Cookbooks. A real winner!!


    List of Ingredients


    • 12 slices(or less) stale French bread
    • Soft butter
    • 1 (12-16oz) can whole kernal corn,drained
    • 2 small cans chopped green chilies
    • 2 cups grated Monterey Jack cheese(I usually use more than 2 cups)
    • 3 C milk or cream
    • 4 eggs
    • 1t salt
    • dash Tasbasco sauce


    Instructions


    1. Butter bread. Arrange in bottom of 9x13 pan. cover with half of corn,one can of chiles,1 cup of cheese. Repeat layers. Combine milk,eggs,salt,Tabasco & pour over casserole, adding mor milk if necessary to reach level of cheese. Cover & refrigerate overnight. Bake uncovered at 350 F for 40-50 minutes or untill puffy & brown.
