This is a recipe from one of those great Junior League Cookbooks. A real winner!!
List of Ingredients
12 slices(or less) stale French bread
Soft butter
1 (12-16oz) can whole kernal corn,drained
2 small cans chopped green chilies
2 cups grated Monterey Jack cheese(I usually use more than 2 cups)
3 C milk or cream
4 eggs
1t salt
dash Tasbasco sauce
Instructions
Butter bread. Arrange in bottom of 9x13 pan. cover with half of corn,one can of chiles,1 cup of cheese. Repeat layers. Combine milk,eggs,salt,Tabasco & pour over casserole, adding mor milk if necessary to reach level of cheese. Cover & refrigerate overnight. Bake uncovered at 350 F for 40-50 minutes or untill puffy & brown.
