    Christmas Wreath

I got this recipe from Glenda Yeary-Simpson. I've enjoyed making it each year for Christmas. It looks so festive on a buffet table.

    List of Ingredients

    • 6 cups corn flakes
    • 1/3 cup butter
    • 1 bag large marshmallows
    • 1/3 teaspoon green food coloring
    • red hot candies

    Instructions

    1. Melt butter over low heat in a large heavy pot.
    2. Add marshmallows and stir until melted and sticky.
    3. Remove from heat and stir in food coloring.
    4. Gently fold in corn flakes until well coated.
    5. With well-buttered hands, form the mixture into a wreath shape.
    6. Add red hots as holly berry decoration while warm.
    7. Allow to cool before slicing.

    Final Comments

The big hint with this recipe is to have your hands literally slathered with butter before you attempt to shape this into the wreath shape! Thanks for the great recipe Glenda.
